How to re download an app icon onto new iPad Pro?

I just bought a new iPad Pro a couple of weeks ago. Today I purchased the Square app for the iPad Pro.  I registered with Square and the icon worked to open the app. I then tried to move the app icon to the first page.  I accidentally deleted the icon.  The app shows up in the App Store, but I don't know how to download the app icon back onto the iPad screen I order to open it easily.  Help please.

Go to App Store > Updates and then click "Purchased" and then scroll to the app and click the icon to download it again.

That takes me to the app icon that says "open".  When I click on it, it opens the app, but doesn't download the icon.

If it opens the App, that means its already downloaded and installed on the iPad Pro. So nothing to download.

You can use Spotlight search to try to find it and if its in a folder it will tell you which one.

When you see open, it means it 's already on your iPad.

Use Spotlight and search for it.

In the middle of the screen, with one finger pull down and type the app's name on the search field.
