developer tools needs to take control? Just sta...

I've been running Yosemite since being part of the beta program. 

Today for the first time, I had a pop up that said "atos needs to take control of another process for debugging to continue. Type your password to allow this."

I canceled out of that and another box popped up - that said the exact same thing, except this time saying "Developer Tools Access needs to take control..."

What's going on?

As long as I keep clicking "cancel", the boxes keep popping up - first atos, then Developer Tools... The ONLY option to get rid of them is to enter my password... seriously?

I have no idea what "atos" is - I have never seen it before today.

atos is a low-level developer tool. This sounds like the same problem that other people have reported with Bento on Yosemite. Some people say it works and some people say it doesn't. Of course, all of those people have been ignoring their NDAs the whole time so it is impossible to tell what the current state of the released version of Yosemite should be towards Bento. I suggest you contact FileMaker and ask.

As of 11/07 I am on Yosemite with the latest updates and I still receive this error message. I do not and have never had Bento on this machine.

Unfortunately, Filemaker has dropped all support for Bento, so no help coming from them.

And I have found that, yes - if I launch Bento, the messages come up. I quit Bento - and they quit.

I just started having this same problem and have never had Bento. How do I get rid of it? Is it something associated with Apple and I should grant it access?

You might want to consider starting a new discussion. Since this one is a couple of years old, less people are likely to look at it. A new post would be much more visible. You can link to this one.

I still use Bento, which I find adequate for my needs. I am using OS 10.12.6 on my iMac, and got a persistent popup alert about debugging process needing my Apple ID. Had to restart to get rid of it. Do I actually need to debug Bento?

I'm reluctant to open the program again until I know more.
