Logic Pro X RAM management issue

Hi,

I seem to be having a recurring issue with Logic Pro X and it's RAM management. I was wondering if anyone encountered a similar issue or could help me sort this thing out.

Problem:
I am working on a cinematic project, writing music to film. To do that I am using NI Kontakt sample libraries and various VSTs. The setup is this:

- KONTAKT x16 stereo multi-output: 10 instruments loaded (using KONTAKT memory server = 0,97 GB of RAM)

- KONTAKT x16 MONO multi-output: 1 instrument loaded (using KONTAKT memory server = 0,120 MB of RAM)

- Various One-shot samples: ~100-120 MB.

- Movie file (360p) ~140 MB

No effects or reverbs or anything (just to test out the setup).

Now, When I load the project with ~ 1 minute of music composed using the setup above, I almost hit my RAM limit by having around 700MB left. Considering I have 16 GB of RAM installed and running only Logic X when it happens, that is very concerning indeed.

According to KONTAKTs memory server I am using only 1,4 GB of RAM.

Before launching Logic I have 12,6 GB's available.
After launching the project I have only 700MB left.

So:

12,600 MB - 2,100 MB = 10,500 MB that are just... GONE. What. The. F?

The reason I am asking this question now, is that it worked flawlessly on the first versions of Logic X.

Or perhaps this is a system wide issue?

In any case, I am gonna have to move to another DAW in order to be able to work as it is very time sensitive.
There goes my purchase of Logic...

My system specs:
Macbook Pro 15 (Early 2011)

2 GHz Intel Core i7
RAM 16 GB 1333 MHz

MacOS Sierra 10.12.6

Logic Pro X 10.3.2
