Moving Folders

I am running a iMac OS 10.12.6 Sierra

When I use the Drag and Drop feature to move a folder location; the feature copies the contents and makes a new

folder. I am not holding down any other key functions.

Anyone have an information to share as to why or what setting may be set incorrectly to cause this to happen?

Are you moving within the same volume or are you moving to another disk?

Thank you; the troubleshooting Force Restarting of the Finder fixed the issue.

Wish that ad for Cleaner for Mac/MacKeeper ad would drop off the face of the earth; or at least the net. :-)
