Do you need Force

I find myself very frustrated by accidental screen interaction throughout the day. Often I will look down at my watch and see that I am "in a workout" or looking at the calendar, or the worst possible: sending a text to someone unintentionally.

 

I was hoping to find a setting that would require a "force-touch" or digital crown spin or push, or button press to initiate screen interaction, but I have not. The water lock is way too much of a lock for what I want. I have tried turning off "raise-to-wake" but that is inconvenient and still does not stop the unintentional interaction.

 

Am I alone in this frustration? Do any users have a suggestion as to how I can limit this frustration?

With Wrist Detection turned off and passcode turned on, your Apple Watch will require the passcode to be entered each time that you wish to use your watch. However, turning off Wrist Detection prevents access to features including Apple Pay and earning Stand credit in the Activity app.

 

Otherwise, besides using Water Lock, there is no other option for locking the screen of your Apple Watch.

I have this very similar issue and find it quite annoying. I could be working in the yard & get a text from somebody I accidentally sent a message to because the screen switched over during an activity.

 

We need a quick setting like "theater mode" that isn't as stricked to allow notifications to come through, but require an active interaction with Watch.
