New iMac running slow
Hi all,
I recently purchased the below iMac model and I’m finding it quite slow to run. I’m just wondering if this is because it only has the base memory of 8gb installed? Just trying to run a single program is causing the spinning wheel of death. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts. This also has the fusion drive 1tb. Hardware tests seem fine. I have upgraded it from Sierra to High Sierra.
Thanks
Matt
No answers, just a question and a request. First, did the computer function ok before you upgraded it? Second, download and after using EtreCheck (etrecheck.com) post the results here, please. The program will give us a snapshot of what your computer is running, what processes are running, and other useful information. To allay your concerns, one of my computers has 4GB and it is doing quite well with High Sierra.
