I keep getting a pop up that says com.apple.web...

I continually ge a pop up that staes com.apple.webkit.networking wants to sign using key'Apple ID Authentication 2016-09-03 08:53:45 GMT-0700" in your key chain.  Do you want to allow access to this item?  Then there are three buttons, Always allow, Deny and Allow.  This is so annoying and I have no idea what it is or what it is for.  How can I stop this?  Is it a virus?  Help!

It is not a virus.   I agree, it is less helpful than it might be but in such circumstances always click on Deny.

I do hit Deny continually but it keeps popping up.  Need to know how to make it stop because it is very annoying and causes me to lose time doing my work throughout the day.

Two options to try:

1. Clear your browser history by clicking on the "Safari" menu and clicking on "Clear History..." and selecting "All history". Restart Safari and see if it is still giving you that prompt.

2. Open Keychain access. Sort the entries by "Kind". Scroll down to where you see entries that are of the kind "Identity Preference". Select all of the identity preference lines and press delete. You'll get a confirmation sheet and then it will ask you for your keychain password. Restart Safari and see if it is still giving you that prompt.
