Mail.

My Mail is still not functioning properly running Sierra on a MacBook. I have an Apple I.D., but the MacBook refuses to accept the I.D. Email address. When I try to enter it as a new address it says that this address already exists - so why can I not receive emails to it. I get emails, from Apple e.g., perfectly well on my iPad Air. Any answers? I have asked previously without a successful outcome. Thanks.

Thanks, but I have tried this. It is when I get to the point of putting in the address I want add it tells me the account already exists - which I know since it is my Apple I.D. address! Dennis.

Where are you putting it in?

When webmail is configured with apple mail application and if you try to add on the same account once again by clicking on mail > add account > choose the account and enter your webmail address and password ,it will always show an error .
