Force trackpad strange loose/clicking noise

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my force touch trackpad on Macbook pro 13'' 2015 model.

Problem is that out of the sudden I've started to hear a strange clicking/touching noise inside (it is 100% technical problem). I have been trying to solve it by pressing hard the whole trackpad (6 fingers pressure). Once I do it, sound is gone but for a few minutes then it comes back and spreads in random places on the pad. Even if you tap on the trackpad you can hear that very thin, semi surface touching sound. Sometimes it randomly disappears and comes back.

Have you ever had such problems and is there a fix? My macbook pro is 4 months old only, bought in UK.

I have recorded a video, maybe this will clarify something. I am not pressing on the trackpad, just very, very gently tapping.

bump. Please, if there is any way to fix it, reply. It would help a lot, this clicking noise does not disappear at all now

Same problem here since yesterday but mine is only happening to the top left corner. I've tried pushing a little bit harder with 3 fingers but it only worked for a while. After a few clicks, the annoying noise appears again.

I have the same issue.

The trackpad makes a sort of a sticky? metal breaking sound.

When I give it some pressure, the sound turns normal, but after a minute of two the strange noise returns.

got the same issue, any news? i also got some crackling sounds coming from the right side of my trackpad ... got my macbook 3 months ago.. shall I go to the store? just worried that it will be too noisy in the story ..

I'm having the same problem on my 7 months old MacBook Pro 15" Retina.

The ForceTouch trackpad is starting to feel different. The first tap (or first few taps sometimes) gives a distinct clicking noise and feel, then if i continue pressing the subsequent presses start to sound and feel like a regular ForceTouch tap. If i stop using it even for 1 second then use it again it will give the same noise and feel sequence over again.

This is happening even in Silent Clicking mode.

Had the same issue which was fixed after calling Apple Care

1. Shut down Macbook

2. Press shift + control + option + power button for approx 10 seconds -- release.

3. Press power button

This resets the power grid, so to speak. It fixed my issue.

Hope it helps

Been having the same issue I have reset the power to no avail I feel like the only option is now to user my apple care.

Thanks! Worked for my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)

Hey all I read all the comments.  This was happening to me too.  I only did two things and I don't have the issue at all anymore.

1.  Use compressed canned air and blow out any particles in any of the ports or holes all the way around the laptop

2. Flip the laptop over and tighten the screws NOT ALOT only hand tight, I used an eye glass screwdriver.

Works great.  All the screws were lose and a ton of dust flew out.  I have to believe that one or the combination caused the clicking.  Good Luck!

Thanks - this worked!
