What do I need to do to make sure I retain all ...

What do I need to do to make sure not to lose all the info I have typed into the notes section on my existing iPhone as i activate my new iPhone ? I am backing up the existing iPhone on the iCloud first then I will take the SIM card out of existing phone and insert into new iPhone. I don't want to lose all the info I typed into Notes app? Thanks
