My iPad keyboard freezes and locks the screen

Ipad air 10.33 ios  128gb with 27+gb unused.

my ipad keyboard has been locking up as I type, it freezes, and also freezes the web page I am typing on ( blog ) I can't even get it to work, I wind up turning the ipad completly off  and reboot it. Then I go to settings and clear cache and web cookies.

This has been a frequent occurance lately, why is this happening? And what do I need to do to fix this issue?

2nd question, I just noticed today my lockscreen picture was changed( not by me) and going into the pictures provided by Apple that came with this ipad are not the original ones, did Apple change them? I prefer the old ones so how do,I get them back?
