Apps missing from iTunes

Why are apps missing from iTunes? I can't browse, buy or rearrange apps for my iPhone on my iMac. What's going on?

You do it directly on the device.

iTunes 12.7 do not have App Store anymore.

Apple removed that functionality in iTunes 12.7.

Having the same issue.  If this function is not available through the App Store in iTunes, how do I know if my apps are being backed up? How do I know if my home screen and app folders are backed up? 

Apps were never part of a backup even before version 12.7.

What gets backed up is your settings. Apps will be downloaded accordingly.
