I have been billed $1.03 on my bank statement f...

Please remove the billing of Itunes from my bank statements. I don't use Itunes and never signed up for it.

Getting in touch with a live human being would be nice.

Did you just create an Apple ID, and add a credit card to it? If so, this is probably just a hold. See this support document explaining that. About payment card authorization holds in the iTunes Store - Apple Support

Otherwise, could this have been an app purchase in the App Store, or other purchase on a device with an Apple ID? See this to check your purchase history. See your purchase history in the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC - Apple Support or any subscriptions. View, change, or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support

Speaking to a human would require you to contact Apple Support by telephone.

This is a user-to-user forum and no one here works for Apple, so we can't help you directly.  I would start here:

Get help with an item purchased from the iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store - Apple Support

You might also be interested in this article about removing your payment information (so you can't get billed in the future):

Change or remove your Apple ID payment information - Apple Support

If you want to remove your payment information, or if you're using iOS 10.2 or earlier:

  1. Tap Settings > iTunes & App Store.
  2. Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. You might need to sign in.
  3. Tap Payment Information.
  4. Change or remove your information. To remove your payment method, select None. Get help if you don't see None or can't select it.
  5. Tap Done.

You may need patience & persistence, but you should be able to eventually get in touch with a live human being.

Lucy,

Have you recently opened your Apple account, perhaps with a purchase from the the App Store in mind (upgrading an app you have, for example.   If you have, this document about authorisation may help.
