What about custom ringtones I made from my own ...

With changes to how iTunes now handles ringtones (or in this case how it does not) what happens to all the custom ringtones I made from songs I ripped via CD into my iTunes library? I am no longer seeing them anywhere within iTunes.

Currently, the ringtones are still on my phone, and they play if I tap on them under Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone. However, with iOS 11, they no longer work (i.e. with a custom ringtone set, when someone calls me, the generic "opening" tone is all that plays. I have been submitting feedback to Apple concerning this since public beta 5, and this (the likely culprit as to why they are not working) was conveniently never mentioned.

You can manually add ringtones from your iTunes media folder. See the "Move ringtones from iTunes ..." section of Use tones on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
