new make, when i try to choose a specific photo...

When i try to choose a photo to set as screen saver it won't allow me. New 2017 mac. this is ridiculous bc it was so easy to do on my old mac. unbelievably difficult.

Should be the same as it always was. Open System Preferences> Desktop & Screensaver> Screensaver.

Click Source and from the drop down you should see Default Collection, Choose Folder and Photos Library.

If you select Choose Folder you will then be able to navigate to the folder that has the image you want to use as your Screensaver. As it is unusual to use only one image for the screensaver, do you mean desktop image?

If you do mean Desktop picture then you can add a folder by clicking the +  in System Preferences>Desktop & Screensaver> Desktop.
