Will erase my mac work if user has been deleted?
I have a client whose laptop was stolen. He had Find My Mac enabled and was able to login to iCloud and initiate lock and erase my Mac the next time the laptop gets online. We were actually able to see via his offsite backup that the laptop had indeed gotten online and was still backing up data. From the looks of it, they probably booted to the recovery partition and changed his password. They then created a new account and deleted his original user account. My question is: Now that he enabled the erase command for this device in Find My Mac, will it still wipe the unit even though the user account that was linked to his iCloud account is no longer active?
