One website will not load.

Very frustrated!  Key.com will not load in safari or firefox.  I've reset safari, re-booted mac and modem.  It's just hat one website.  Did I do something to block it out???

Thanks,

Kim

Its not your computer. It doesnt load on my macbook or imac or any other device in my house. Changes are their server is down at the moment or they have issues.

I hope that's the case...this is day 3 though!

Hrm, you should try setting up a proxy and then try get on the website.

I have run into this issue as well. But, with different sites. Specific sites will not load.

The sites I run into issue with are Apple.com and Google.com and recently Bing.com.

Here is what I have run into on my macbook air since the latest update. I leave my air on 24/7 just close it open it up and go. When you close your air or it goes to sleep it shuts off wifi and has to reconnect upon waking. The issue happens when I reconnect to the wifi.

Upon reconnection apple.com and google.com will not load, other sites load without issue. And randomly google switched with bing.com one time where google would load but bing would not. I had to use bing because google would not load.

When I reboot the websites load without issues until the system sleeps and wakes again same problem.

I tested in Safari, Firefox, and Chrome same problem, I cleared cookies same problem, I reinstalled browsers same problem.

I tested the sites on my windows system sites work without issue through the same router. Tested my windows system wireless and wired sites work. Tested on my android phone sites work over wifi. Used Chrome, FF on windows and opera on Android sites work on all of these. While simulataneously the sites do not load at all on the air.

To make matters more confusing I go to work or a friends test the air on their wifi and the sites work.

For some reason with my router, wifi, google.com, apple.com, on wake only, and my air OSX latest version with latest update these sites do not load no matter the browser.

I checked for malware and viruses as this would have been a likely culprit found nothing.

Anyone have any ideas, any diagnostic tools you think I should try run.

I checked my router I have nothing is set up that I can see that would be blocking just these sites and just on my air. I am still researching diagnosing but, this one is odd and seems somewhat similar to this issue.

Also I tested key.com on my air and my work system the site works for me right now. May have been down for maintnence.

Well, awesome support from apple!  On the phone for an hour trying everything possible to get that site to load.  It wasn't key.  The tech guy had no problem getting there while I was still locked out.  He suggested in the end to try calling Time Warner (internet provider) and have them remotely reset the my modem.  I had re-booted from home, but that didn't work.  After finding someone at Time Warner that would understand what I was saying...it's all cleared!  I have no idea why, and neither does Time Warner, but it worked!

Good to know. I checked mine again last night and it is now working. My cable modem's primary IP address changed from comcast so Comcast reset my router.

This is odd it is ISP related and only affecting my apple system and certain websites, that seems to the the root of the problem.

I cannot get (reliably) to Great Plains Electronics.  I have spent days with Comcast, assuming it is their issue, as I cannot get to it via my iMac, two iPads, an iPhone and a Droid using all flavors of browsers.  But I can using cell data, or free WIFI.

Comcast kicked the problem up to 'security'.  Suddenly, I can connect via my Comcast WIFI through all my electronics and browsers EXCEPT via Safari on my iMac.

And as so as I try connecting via Safari on my iMac, Safari says 'because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection', then none of my other electronics (two iPads, iPhone, Droid, iMac via Chrome / Firefox) will work.  It poisons all other devices on my WIFI.

So far, after a few hours, it clears up and I can once again reconnect until I use Safari on my iMac.

I have cleared all caches and website data on my iMac and rebooted Safari.  Yet Safari still poisons the entire WIFI chain for all of my electronics.
