cant access my ipad mini due to wrong passcode,...

So basically, i never had a passcode to my iPad mini so i decided to make one. Once I did, I locked my Ipad and tried it out, but it kept saying wrong password and disabled a few times. Now i cant access my iPad what so ever!!

These are the methods I tried:

(1) -pluggin my iPad to itunes

     -backed up

     -then tried to restore

     however it said i cant restore because i need to turn off my location on Find My Iphone. How can I do this when i cant even access my iPad you say? ... So I went on iCloud.com and erased my iPad on the Find My Phone app. which a lot of people suggested to do. Now it just requesting, but its basically removed since i can no longer locate using iCloud.

(2) -pressing the lock button for 3 seconds

     -then holding the home button for 10

     -then relesing the lock button so that way im just holding the home button

     -then it popped on my computer that my device was on recovery mode!

     Initially, I thought this was going to work, but it says it cant restore because it cant find the location of my iPad and i think this wouldve totally worked hadnt i deleted the device off Find my iPhone i presume? 

(3) Updated to the new 7.1 and restored.

     -still wouldnt let me because it said i needed the passcode unlocked on my ipad to continue with the update/restoration.
