I changed my Apple ID email address and my MacB...

Hello! I recently changed my Apple ID and email address. My iPhone and Apple Watch both recognize the new Apple ID but my MacBook Pro is still recognizing my old email address/Apple ID. Whenever I go to change the Apple ID or sign out, it asks me for my password associated with the old Apple ID. Whenever I enter it in, it states it is not valid. And of course it isn't valid! Its not in use anymore. Can anyone assist me with this process? Nothing is syncing (i.e. iMessages, FaceTime, etc.) to my MacBook Pro due to the mix up with the old/new Apple ID.
