2017 MacBook Pro runs warm when driving 4K monitor

I'm currently driving a 24" Dell 4K monitor at 60 Hz with my 2017 MacBook Pro (13", 16 GB, Touch Bar). I use the external display regularly for about 8 hours a day. The MacBook typically runs at about 60*C (140*F) when driving the external display. This is quite a bit higher than the optimal range of 50*F to 95*F recommended by Apple. Without driving the external monitor, the MacBook runs at about 41*C (106*F) - a noticeable delta. For reference, the measured operating temps are based on an ambient temp of about 76*F. The MacBook is also in the opened position (I use the keyboard and trackpad directly).

I wanted to get some thoughts from the community regarding how much impact this setup has on the health of the MacBook's battery in terms of both life (time to discharge) and lifespan (time to replacement). In other words - is it significant enough that I should stop driving a 4K regularly?

Battery life is quite important when I'm working on the go. And I would hate to be hurting it in any significant way... That being said, I also want to get the same display quality without having to be hunched over for long periods of time - hence the external 4K monitor setup.
