Post 12.7 update Mobile Apps question

After the latest 12.7 update I still have the Mobile Applications sub-folder in iTunes Media folder holding 24.8 GB of app's. Was this folder (and app's) supposed to be removed during the update process?

No, it's not supposed to be removed. You can delete it yourself if you would like, though if there are any apps which you want to keep to ensure that if they're removed from the App Store, you can still install them, you may want to leave it in tact.

I just checked my computer that has the latest version of iTunes, which I use for some testing purposes, and the one app that I had in the library is still in the folder in Explorer as well. I don't believe it was supposed to delete that information, just not provide an outlet for it in iTunes. Since the installation, removal, and/or update of iTunes does not affect the library or other storage files, I'm guessing they would stay there.
