Trouble connecting my iPhone 7 to itunes. Lapto...

Hi

For some reason I can not connect my iPhone 7 iOS 10.3.3 (latest software update) to iTunes 12.6.2 (latest version), to move music to my phone. The phone symbol that is supposed to appear beneath the Account Tab (top left corner of iTunes app), does not when I connect my phone to my laptop. So, because of that I can not access my iPhone via iTunes on my laptop.

I have already updated my USB port drivers and tried again (in fact I have updated my entire laptop system).

Am I missing something? How do I fix this?
