High Sierra install issue

I am trying to install high sierra on my iMac 2013 model which can upgrade from sierra to high sierra...my problem is that when i click through the install process and get to which drive to install it on, it greyed out my Macintosh HD and says that that drive is used for time machine backups...any ideas
