The email search box is missing on my iPad. How...

Help! my search box disappeared on my email screen. How do I get it back?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?

Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.

Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

Thanks so much!  I had restarted my iPad but hadn't tried resetting it.  It worked and everything is back. Thanks so much for responding to my question.  You are "the man!"

AAlthough this works it is only a bandaid fix as it keeps happening after I search it keeps disappearing hopefully Apple fixes soon as it is a real pain

I Have the same problem too. Why it the "Search" option keeps dissapearing so I have to

restart my ipdad ofently in order to get it back. This is definitely a bug!!!

Same problem. Royal pain in the butt.

How is this question marked solved. What just turn it off and then turn it back on. What is this, a Windows FAQ? Every 2-3 days I have to reset due to the search box missing. This is not resolved it should be in process to find a fix. Maybe work on overall search function as well.

I agree with Shottesen. Hello? Earth to Apple! I'm running your newest mail software on your newest iPad and it Does. Not. Work. Properly. Not really even close.

You search for an email, and from there you can never search for another one (because the search bar has disappeared), nor can you get back to any of your filtered inboxes (unread, all inboxes, etc.). Typical screenshot attached.

World domination is unlikely to last if you don't attend to basics, folks.

Agreed, we are now mid January and no solution in sight. World domination slipping away....

Is there a different fix? I can't get the search box even with a reset. This is the end of September 2017.
