Why can the sound volume on facetime calls not ...

Facetime sound volume way too loud even when volume is turned all the way down. Was a problem on iPad air and even a worse problem now on iPad pro 10.5.

The four speakers on the iPad pro only make this problem four times worse. Have been reduced to covering those speakers with masking tape just to make the sound bearable. It's a shame that Apple has never addressed this well documented and ongoing problem.

Looks like Skype is the only true "fix" available.
