purchased movie not showing on iPad mini

Purchased 6 movies and 5 dowloaded and transferred from macbook to kids iPad minis successfully.

One shows as being on my sons iPad when looking through synced iPad on the macbook.  It is in the list with a tick next to it.  However it does not show up in the videos section (where the other ones purchased at the same time are)

I have tried deleting it from his library (via the macbook) and tried to reload it but this sides not work.

If i check through iTunes directly from the iPad it shows up in my purchases but instead of the "watch" button it shows the "cloud download" button - but this is greyed out.  This is strange as it has definitely been dowloaded from the cloud as i can watch it from the macbook.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated, thank you
