Does Apple replace Macbook bought elsewhere?

Can I get my laptop replaced? Its battery is so short and I did not buy it from the Apple Store. Can I still get Apple to replace it?

Call your local Apple Store and make an appointment for them to examine it. They will be able to test it to find out exactly where the problem is on it. Afterwards they will tell you your options.

Was it from an official Apple authorised store?    What country do you reside in?

I bought it from OfficeWorks Australia. I'm in Australia.

I see OfficeWorks are an official Apple products supplier so it is likely your purchase will be covered by any warranty or recall situation.   As Allan says. go to your local Apple store for an assessment.   Was it new when you purchased it?

Yes! It was completely new at the time of purchase.

Then I think Allan's suggestion is the route to take.   If it is still within warranty your local Apple store will treat it as though they had sold it.
