Ridiculous sales policy in Hong Kong

I've bought a 9.7" Smart Keyboard online and found out that the keys spacing were too small and different from the 10.5" Smart Keyboard, which I have tested in an Apple Store. Lo and behold, the return/exchange policy in Hong Kong was changed 3 weeks ago and no special highlight during checkout!! The policy is now changed to no refund on exchanges, a huge deviation from the sales policies globally. The store itself doesn't sell the 9.7" version for my iPad so there is no way of testing the keyboard out before buying. While I understand in Hong Kong, the policy was recently changed due to scalpers for iPhones, the "no exchange" part does not make any sense for genuine customers like myself, who just want a working Keyboard!! I am happy to top up to a 10.5" Keyboard despite not fitting nicely on my iPad, but at least the keyboards are usable. Can someone in the higher command chain of Apple Hong Kong do something about my case please?

p.s. It doesn't help either when apple phone contact is only available M-F.
