Change files from mp3 to alac

I am using iTunes for about 15 years and my music library became really big. Time is going, storage is rising, my acoustics becomes better and I want to improve my library. Most of the files there are mp3. Some of them (from 15 years old) are even 128kbps. Recently I have riped again my CD library to ALAC. Is it possible to change files in Itunes Library from old mp3 to ALAC keeping their stars rating, play count and other attributes?

Yes, but please  be aware than a format conversion of any kind does not improve the audio quality.  Converting an MP3 to ALAC will give you a bigger file of the same sonic content.  Don't waste your time and space.
