Copy to the disk "Macintosh HD" failed
During the sync process between my iPad (10.3.3) and iTunes (12.6.2.20) on my Mac (10.12.5) I get the following error message: "Attempting to copy to the disk "Macintosh HD" failed. The required folder cannot be found." I have a feeling that this has started after the upgrade of iTunes to 12.6.2.20, but I cannot be sure.
In order to try to fix the problem I've deleted the backup file and then started a new manual backup in iTunes. The backup completes and the this error message box appears when iTunes says "Transferring purchases from My iPad" and "Preparing to copy items" and this goes on forever. Only way to stop the sync/backup is to cancel the sync on the iPad.
I have other IOS devices (10.3.3 and 9.3.5) without this problem.
The iPad seems to be OK, new items/photos/apps are synced to the iPad, but there must be a reason for the message to show up.
All suggestions are welcome.
