Photos deleted on iPhone still appearing in iCl...

I've spent hours deleting thousands photos and videos on my iPhone in order to create more storage space in iCloud, since I'm at my limit. When deleting, I get the message that the photo will be deleted from iCloud Photo Library on all of my devices. The photos are still showing in iCloud, and I continue to receive messages that I'm at my limit. Is this a known issue?

Are you connected to the internet? How long since you deleted the photos have you given them to be deleted from iCloud?

I'm connected to WiFi on both devices. It's been about five hours. Should I expect it to take a certain amount of time?

It can take awhile. Just as it did when the library was created. I would give it at least overnight to see if there is any progress.

Have you tried deleting anything directly from your Photos app on iCloud.com?

Thanks. I'll try to be patient and see if giving it some time helps! Yes, I can delete directly from iCloud.com, but it's much slower to delete from there, and at this point, I would be duplicating my previous efforts.

Agreed. Just wanted to make sure that things were "communicating" between the devices and iCloud. I would have suggested something that you hadn't already deleted from the iPhone just to see if it was working, but probably best to just wait a bit to see if you see some progress.

Cheers,
