IOS11 Video player search control moved to bottom?

The built in video player search control/slider has moved from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen. This seems to be a very bad position on the iPad as it’s harder to control and you actually block the screen with your hand when searching. At least apple could make it adjustable In settings. It might be a good position for one hand devices like iPhone, but it’s really bad position for an iPad standing on a table or holding in your hands.

Am I the only one who is annoyed by this? Or want it changed to the top?
