now playing wont remove from dock

Hi

In addition to apps that you have chosen to add to the Dock, it is normal for Recent and the Now Playing app to also be shown automatically, as and when appropriate.

Recent shows the last app that you used.

Now Playing appears when you listen to something on your Apple Watch or iPhone, including music - and it cannot be removed in the same way as apps that you have chosen to add permanently to the Dock.

Thank you for the info, but can you explain how I CAN remove "now playing" from my dock? Or are u telling me that it cannot be removed? I never listen to iTunes on my phone or watch and if Im not mistaken, "now playing" is a function of iTunes

It cannot be removed.

I got rid of the "Now Playing" by making sure, that "Now Playing" is listed in the "Do not include" list for the Dock in the Watch.app on the iPhone.

Then I restarted the iPhone to terminate any Music on the iPhone and forced the Apple Watch to restart.

• Hold down the side button and the Digital Crown at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

This is rather drastic. Do it only, if the Now Playing really annoys you. A simple restart of the watch did not suffice.

Or wait for the next software update. Updating Watch OS usually resets the Dock as well.

Open Iwatch on phone, go to dock, ADD now playing, immediately delete it when it moves to added on my watch in dock by swiping up, just like you can delete ANY other app down there.  Got rid of it for me.  Annoying for sure.

I did that, but it placed itself right back into the dock. (!!!)
