how to configure network settings on ipad

I believe that something accidentally got changed in settings, because I have not been able to get online with my ipad for the last 2-3 days.  I think I saw a msg. saying something along the lines of:  THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE TO YOUR NETWORK...  I HAVE NO IDEA THOUGH WHAT IT COULD BE.
