My 1 year old 4K iMac is super slow.
Hello. I find myself in a very bad situation here. My one year old 4K iMac is running very, very slow. It has always been like that since I acquired it. There has been ups and downs where sometimes the iMac wouldn't even boot up. There would occasionally be glitches with the screen also, where the apple logo and the progress bar on the startup screen would appear red for seconds. We're talking about a ONE year old iMac here. I suspect the hard drive which is a 5400 RPM HDD to be the principal cause of the issue.
Please don't ask me why I haven't called Apple. I guess I'm too busy for this kind of ****.
PS: I know I don't have much space left and that might make things worse, but that's not the issue here!

Yes, that looks to indeed be the issue. Clear some space, lots of space, on your hard drive.
You also don't have enough ram for the number of tasks that you're trying run at once. Stop ALL of the user login items and run one program at a time.
