installer payload failed signature check error

Once I downloaded mac os on my iMac and tried to install . I received a error message that the Installer Payload failed Signature check. How do I correct this issue?

I'm with the same problem. Can't install the Sierra and now i had to format my iMac 2011. Currently on 10.7.5 again and can't update to any newer MacOS.

same problem with early 2011 MBP. spending already three days in trying to recover it with any OSX, without result. not a happy Apple user here. anyone from Apple with a serious reply and suggestion?

I managed to install Lion on SDcard and run it from there ...

Just solved this by fixing the system time (using the terminal).

Who knew "Signature Check" meant "real-time clock out of range"?

sudo ntpdate -u time.apple.com

I had the exact same problem and I ran the above in terminal and that did the trick.
