I always have to sync apps to these two devices from iTunes, because they crash trying to download and install all the updates. They just can't handle really large (e.g. 1.5GB) updates. Am I supposed to throw those devices away? What about all the poor people who buy old/used devices because they can't afford $800 for a new phone?

Worst. iTunes. Update. Yet. (And that's saying something -- 5 years ago this was still a phenomenal application!)
