Good battery and working adapter, but MacBook A...

I have a MacBook Air (Mid 2013) that won’t charge. I know I have a working MagSafe power adapter. I have tested it on other MacBooks. I have also checked the status of the internal battery using coconutBattery and everything seems to be perfectly normal. I see a green light on the adapter when it’s plugged in, but the computer is not charging. I have tried to reset the SMC multiple times. When I do, the MagSafe light changes to orange, but I am unable to power on the computer until I unplug the adapter. When I plug it in again, the light is green and it’s not charging. I’m not able to take the computer to an Apple store easily as I live overseas, so I want to troubleshoot every possible option first. I’ve already had to take it to Apple and spend $500 because the display stopped working.
