Hi,

From Apple: "High Sierra requires any of the following Mac models and versions of macOS. It also requires at least 2GB of memory and 14.3GB of storage space to perform the upgrade.*"

Note that that will take a large chunk out of your 64GB SSD, so make sure you have that much and more free space available. In order to be able to work and save things, I would make sure you have at an absolute minimum 20GBs of free space available. Also, 2GBs of RAM is the absolute minimum for HS to run with, and your Mac may run slower due to lack of RAM forcing the OS to use hard drive space as virtual RAM.

Make sure to backup before upgrading.

Also, check out Roaring Apps to see which apps will need to be updated or replaced (the list is not very thorough beyond mainstream apps right now due to how new HS is): https://roaringapps.com/apps
