Music App Not Working on iOS 11

My native music app has not been functioning properly since update to iOS 11. It works fine when in the app, but when manuevring outside the app it is not functioning. I do not see the album covers on lock screen nor do I see the name of the song in control center. This is also causing an issue with my cars bluetooh as I won’t see what song is playing because the song, singer and album names no longer display. How do I fix this?
