My MacBook pro is not starting up normally

My Pro usually restarts immediately after opening its lid. Recently and following some advice it starts up after me opening lid then holding down on/off key together with Shift or some time just the space bar.  There is something wrong I feel and i would be very grateful for help please to return my Pro to normal.

I bought the extended warranty on Day1 so hopefully that is still in force

Resetting SMC could solve the problem.

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

If it doesn't work, I suggest that you'd better contact Apple support or make Genius Bar appointment.
