WatchOS updating not being offered to me

All Apple Watch models can be updated to watchOS 4 if the paired iPhone is an iPhone 5s or newer model that has first been updated to iOS 11.

 

Follow the instructions here, starting by making a backup of your iPhone:

 

 

If you instead have an iPhone 5 or 5c, then your devices cannot be updated beyond iOS 10.x and watchOS 3.x.

I am running iPhone 7 and iOS 11 but no watchOS 4 is offered to me. Watch is currently on 3.2.3

By the way why do people claim to have solved an issue when the originator has not confirmed issue was solved? BS

Only the person who starts the thread - ie you - can mark a reply as Solved.

So the button options stink. The button doesn’t say solved. They say correct answer or helpful neither apply and tend to push issues to be considered closed. I tapped correct answer thinking that would allow me to correct the answer or just reply. Why not a solved not solved button. As usual these Apple support area is mostly useless. On to other public forums that might actually have an answer.
