Drag and Drop not working after Sierra upgrade

I built a desktop application in Adobe AIR which has drag and drop functionality. This stopped working after I upgraded to Sierra. Any solution/ workaround is highly appreciated.

I had the same issue. It was solved by:

System Preferences => Accessibility => Trackpad Options => Enable dragging

I have the same issue, but in Sierra 10.12.6 the path is not exactly as described.

You need: System Preferences => Accessibility => Mouse and Trackpad => Trackpad options (button) => Enable dragging'.

Oddly, it is not under trackpad options.

This did it for me on Sierra 10.12.6...

Preferences / Accessibility / Mouse & Trackpad (menu on left) / Trackpad Options (button, bottom left) / Enable Dragging (check box) /  with drag lock (drop-down menu)

Yes, that works for me too, provided you are happy to have 'drag lock' on. I would prefer not to have it, but if you select no drag lock, then the dragging function does not work at all. Apple needs to sort this out properly and make available the same options that were available with previous versions of OSX, and inherit the options selected when an upgrade is made.
