Yahoo Mail will not display on my mac

3 days ago, mail on my yahoo account will not display. Folders are still there, and I seem to have an unread "ghost" spam email that pops up. It thinks there is an email in that folder, but nothing is there. When I checked the spam folder via Yahoo Mail, nothing is there. The icloud and gmail accounts are fine. I deleted the yahoo account and then recreated it to the same results. My iPad and iPhone get my Yahoo mail just fine.

Running MacOS 10.12.6. iMac late 2015.

Any thoughts?
