icloud calendar no longer working in outlook

I had my icloud calendar set up in outlook and it was working fine. suddenly I could no longer access it and I got a message saying "the set of folders cannot be opened. the information store cannot be opened."

I have a similar issue.  iCloud on my PC had been working perfectly in Outlook, syncing my calendar and contact with my ipad & MacBook Pro. Now is appears to be doing only a one-way sync from Outlook out to iCloud  which is sending the information to my other devices but appointments added on my Apple devices are not coming into Outlook although they are in iCloud.  I do not get any error message.

i also have the same issue and error message but with outlook contacts.  i have just upgraded to Outlook 2010 from Outlook 2007 where icloud was working fine.

any help appreciated...

I have the issue with BOTH Calendar and Contacts.

This error is fairly common with Outlook, go to Microsoft's Outlook forum for help, or give up on Outlook all together (that would be my choice)

Were you able to resolve  this problem....I have the same situation happening...driving me crazy!!!!  Would love to k ow how to correct the problem.

I wish I could say that I have.  Went into the Apple store this afternoon and they suggested that I delete the iCloud account on my ipad or MacBook and re-initial and see if that helps.  If that doesn't work, I already have an appointment with the Genius Bar to discuss the wifi problem that is occurring since upgrading the ipad to ios6. Will post if I am successful in correcting the issue.

some cant 'give up' outlook bc work uses this

and extremely frustrating that my pc was able to sync everything with my iphone and icloud just fine but not vice versa

really need a way for this to work

go to Microsoft's Outlook forum for help, it's an Outlook problem.

As you might have read in a previous reply, I add this issue. On my iPad, I turned off calendar syncing and whe it asked anout keeping the entries I said "yes" then turned the calendar syncing back on and created a new calendar Fro iCloud. While initially it gave me duplicate entries under two different calendars, it triggered something in Outlook to start working correctly with iCloud. I gave it a couple of days to make sure it was working (using my original calendar for my entries) and then deleted the new calendar.  There might be an easier way to trigger the syncing again but this worked for me..

Did you get your problem resolved?  I have Outlook 2007 and have to update to 2010.  Am very fearful of losing everything.  I have iPhone 4S and so far have refused to update to iOS 7 as I think it will force me to update to current version of iTunes which then forces iCloud 2+ which is not fully compatible with Outlook, unless there have been updates since December 2013.  I have iCloud 1.1.0.40 which is fully compatible with Outlook 2007.  I can edit Outlook and have hyperlinks, either on my PC (Windows 7) or iPhone.  iCloud 2+ does not support editing and hyperlinks which are very important to me.  Does anyone know what will happen when I update to Outlook 2010 or iOS 7?

Thanks so much for any help anyone can give me.  Microsoft is still pervasive in the working world.

I found this on Google search. It worked for me.

Turn iCloud Calendar, Contacts and Reminders off and back on

  1. Close Outlook.
  2. Open iCloud for Windows.
  3. Deselect the Mail, Contacts, Calendars & Tasks checkbox and click Apply.
  4. Wait a few seconds. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars & Tasks, and click Apply.
  5. Open Outlook.

It isn't an Outlook issue.  I have two Macs, each running Parallels with Outlook 2017... the main reason that I need Parallels.  One is my regular working machine and the other is a tried and true fallback in case of issues.  My main machine experienced this problem today.   After fighting it a while I fired up the other Mac which has undergone no changes for several months.  It too has the same issue.  From a technical standpoint, this proves that it is a server side change in iCloud.
