Can the NFL mobile app be used in split screen?

I'm looking to get an iPad air 2 or iPad mini 4 and am wondering if the NFL app is available for split screen. I wanna watch a game replay on game pass while accessing other apps during playback.

I have the app but no Game Pass subscription. I can watch videos without the subscription. However, the app does not appear in the list of apps on the right side of my iPad Air 2 screen when trying to access split screen. It does not work in split screen since it doesn't even appear in that list.
