MacOS Sierra restarting (due to launch daemons?)

I have been experiencing problems with my mac arbitrarily restarting for about 3 weeks now. I have been trying to diagnose it using other forum discussions and posts, but have been unsuccessful. To be specific, my mac isn't actually restarting itself. When I close it and come back after a while and open it, the screen is totally black (even the backlight is off), and the only way to get a response is to hold down the power button to turn it off, wait a sec, then turn it on again (when I do this, it first boots to a login screen, then restarts and boots to a login screen again as if I had rebooted it a 2nd time).

 

Additionally, sometimes the battery wears down after only a few hours of sleeping and so it powers off for that reason. When I turn it on, it still reboots again once it reaches the login screen, so I think these are related.

 

I'm running Sierra 10.12.6 on a 2014 13" Retina MBP. Below I will post Etrecheck output I just ran. However, I wanted to note a couple of things:

  • I previously ran Etrecheck, and used it to uninstall the Anchorfree Hostspotshield launch daemon (which I didn't even know was running). However, Etrecheck still mentions it under "Clean Up".
  • Also under "Clean Up" is LastPass, which I just installed recently and would like to keep (although maybe it is causing problems?)
  • Finally, what Etrecheck identifies as possible adware, PCClient, is actually the PaperCut Client software that my university uses for its printing system, so I need to keep that installed if possible.
