icloud sync problem

I have icloud 6.2.3.17 and Outlook 2007. Until very recently icloud has happily synced, however 6.2.3.17 is not syncing calendars and contacts with outlook 2007. I have tried all the suggested fixes but no change. Has anyone had the same problem and resolved it? Should I perhaps use an earlier version of icloud and if so what version and where can I get it?
