2017 Imac 27" Pro 580 Gray Sign in screen with ...

New to apple products made the switch.  My 4 week of Imac on sign in screen has turned grey and has vertical checkered stripes.  This is on going for 3 days.  Ran startup D diagnostics everything checks out ok.  This happens when signed off and returning several hours later or the next day.  Disappears when clicking mouse and alows to sign in.
