Apple is not allowing me to use my email addres...

Problem: I am trying to update my email/appleid with my new email address. My current email address will be expiring within a week (via hover domain) and my new email address is getting rejected by Apple even though I've already tested receiving emails and sending emails through the new address and it works perfect.  I've already talked to 2 customer support agents; first one was extremely helpful and friendly doing all he can to troubleshoot the issue. The second agent I dealt with was the complete opposite; pretty much didn't try and troubleshoot or figure it out, I told him the symptoms of my issue and he just stated "well its your email, change your email."

 

My issue is that this is my email address "******@******.co" and the Apple site is not accepting it.

 

How do I resolve this issue as this will be my email I will be using?
